Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 May 2025 | Effective date: 12 May 2025
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device — your computer, tablet, or phone — when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work properly, to remember your preferences, and to give website owners a general understanding of how their site is being used.
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies the Napa Group website uses, why we use them, and what choices you have. If you have questions, please contact us — we are always happy to talk things through.
2. The Cookies We Use
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. The table below sets out what we use and why.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are needed for the website to function. They cannot be switched off. They do not collect any personal data that could be used to identify or track you, and they are never used for marketing purposes.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| napa_cookie_consent | Remembers whether you have acknowledged our cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every visit. | 12 months |
| PHPSESSID | A standard session identifier used by our server to maintain your browsing session. Deleted when you close your browser. | Session |
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand in broad terms how visitors use our website — which pages are most visited, how long people spend reading, and where visitors come from. This helps us improve the site for future readers. The information collected is aggregated and does not identify individuals.
We currently use Google Analytics for this purpose. Google may transfer data to servers outside Thailand; please see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique users for Google Analytics reporting. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4. | 2 years |
| _gid | Distinguishes users for the current day's analytics data. | 24 hours |
No Marketing or Advertising Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or tracking your interests across other websites. We have no intention of doing so.
3. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, our website uses your browser's local storage to remember that you have acknowledged the cookie notice. Local storage works similarly to cookies but is stored on your device and is not sent to our server with each page request.
You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will cause the cookie notice to reappear on your next visit.
4. Third-Party Technologies
Some pages on our website include content hosted by third parties, such as an embedded Google Map to help you find our Bangkok location. These third parties may set their own cookies when you view that content. We do not control those cookies and recommend reading the relevant third-party privacy policies if this is a concern.
- Google Maps — used on our homepage to show our address. Google's Privacy Policy
- Google Fonts — used for our typography. Fonts are loaded from Google's servers and may involve your IP address being shared with Google.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You are always in control. Here are several ways to manage cookies:
Through Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or manage cookies through their settings menu. The exact steps differ by browser. You can usually find these under Settings → Privacy or Settings → Security.
Opting Out of Google Analytics
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. This works on most modern browsers.
Clearing Local Storage
To reset your cookie notice preference, you can clear local storage for this site in your browser's developer tools or by clearing all site data in your privacy settings. The notice will reappear on your next visit.
Please be aware that blocking some cookies may affect how the website displays or functions. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without impacting your experience.
6. Thai Law and Your Rights
Our use of cookies is guided by Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). Where cookies involve the collection of personal data, we do so only on the basis of your consent or where we have a legitimate interest that does not override your rights.
For full details of your data rights — including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold — please read our Privacy Policy.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Cookie Policy from time to time as our website changes or as regulations evolve. The current version is always available here, with the revision date shown at the top. We will not make significant changes without giving reasonable notice.
8. Questions
If you have any questions about how we use cookies, or about your privacy more generally, please contact us. We are always glad to talk things through at an unhurried pace.
