About Napa Group
A place where your financial questions deserve a proper conversation.
We believe that understanding money should feel like sitting down with someone who knows the subject well and isn't in any hurry to leave.

How Napa Group came to be
Napa Group was founded in Bangkok by a small group of financial educators and adult-learning specialists who had noticed the same thing over and over: the people who most needed straightforward money guidance were often least well served by the industry. Courses were designed for younger professionals or assumed a level of comfort with financial language that many midlife adults simply hadn't had the opportunity to develop.
We began with a simple idea — what if we ran a financial education course the way a good teacher would run it for a friend? Slowly, patiently, with room for every question and no assumption that the answer is obvious. We held our first sessions in a rented meeting room near Phaya Thai in 2018, with eight participants and one facilitator. The conversations were warm, the questions were earnest, and the feedback was clear: people wanted more of this.
Today Napa Group offers three structured courses covering introductory money management, savings and planning, and longer-term preparation for retirement and family wellbeing. Our facilitators are experienced in adult financial education and are comfortable with the pace that midlife learners prefer. We have no interest in selling financial products; our only interest is in helping people understand the financial world around them a little more clearly.
Our Mission
What we are here to do
Our Mission
To make financial knowledge accessible, comfortable, and genuinely useful for people in the second half of their working lives — by creating the kind of learning environment where every question is welcomed and nobody is made to feel behind.
Our Vision
A Bangkok where people over forty approach their financial lives with quiet confidence — not because money is simple, but because they've had the chance to understand it at their own pace, in good company.
Our Values
- Patience in every session
- Respect for every learner's starting point
- Plain language, never jargon
- Honesty about what we do and don't cover
- A warm room and a calm pace

How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
We think carefully about how our courses are run, how information is handled, and how participants are treated throughout their time with us.
Adult Learning Approach
All our courses follow adult learning principles. Content is conversational rather than lecture-based, and facilitators actively encourage participants to shape the pace and direction of each session.
Privacy of Participants
Personal information shared during enrolment or within sessions is handled with discretion. We do not share participant data with third parties and store only what is necessary to administer courses.
Educational, Not Advisory
We are clear about the boundary between financial education and financial advice. Our courses help people understand topics and ask better questions; they do not replace the guidance of a licensed financial professional.
Regular Content Review
Course materials are reviewed periodically to reflect changes in Thai banking regulation, tax matters, and pension structures. We want participants to leave with current, relevant knowledge.
Participant Feedback
Every course closes with a feedback session. Participant observations directly inform how we adjust and improve our courses over time. We read every response carefully.
No Conflicts of Interest
We do not receive commissions or referral fees from financial institutions, fund providers, or insurance companies. Our only interest is in the quality of what we teach.
Financial education for midlife learners in Bangkok
Napa Group works with people who are in their forties, fifties, and sixties — a period of life when the financial decisions in front of you tend to carry more weight than those behind you. These are the years when retirement starts to feel real, when family obligations shift, and when a clearer picture of your money becomes genuinely useful rather than merely interesting.
Our courses are taught in English and are designed for both long-term Bangkok residents and expatriates who want to understand how Thai financial systems — banking, savings funds, and social security — relate to their own planning. We take care to explain Thai-specific structures clearly without assuming any prior knowledge of the local system.
We keep our courses small because the quality of the conversation matters more to us than the number of seats filled. If you would like to know more, we are always happy to talk before you decide to enrol.
