Questions people often ask

We've gathered the questions that come up most often. If yours isn't here, please just write to us.

Do I need any financial background to join a course?

Not at all. Our introductory course, The First Cup, is designed specifically for people who are just beginning to think through their personal finances. We start from the very basics and move only as quickly as the group feels comfortable.

How many people are in each session?

We keep groups small — typically between six and ten participants. This means the facilitator can address everyone's questions and the conversation stays personal and unhurried.

Are the courses conducted in English or Thai?

Our courses are offered in English. Written materials are available in English and can include supplementary notes in Thai for clarity on local financial terms.

Where are sessions held?

All sessions take place at our Ratchathewi location on Phaya Thai Road in Bangkok — a short walk from the Phaya Thai BTS station and accessible by MRT as well. The room is quiet and comfortable, set up much like a small meeting room rather than a classroom.

What is the difference between the three courses?

The First Cup is a short introduction covering budgeting and everyday banking — three sessions, ideal if you're new to thinking about money in this way. A Longer Conversation goes deeper into saving and planning over six weeks. The Long Afternoon Programme is our most complete course, running ten weeks and covering retirement planning, healthcare costs, and family financial wellbeing.

Can I attend more than one course?

Yes, and many of our participants do. A number of people begin with The First Cup and then continue into A Longer Conversation once they feel more comfortable. Each course builds naturally on the previous one, though each can also stand on its own.

Do you provide personal financial advice?

Our courses are educational in nature and are designed to help you understand financial topics and think through your own situation. We always encourage participants to speak with a licensed financial professional before making significant decisions. We can help you know what questions to ask.

How do I register or find out when the next course begins?

Simply send us a message using the form below or call us directly. We'll let you know the upcoming schedule and which course might be the right fit for where you are right now. There's no obligation in asking.
